SOHO Melbourne
More than a bar or restaurant, Soho is an experience.Your eyes see the beautiful interior, your ears hear the live music, the warmth of our staff is unmistakable. At Soho, you’ll feel at ease.

Located on the banks of the Yarra River in Melbourne’s scenic Southbank, it’s not only the perfect spot for lunch with family on a sunny weekend, but the perfect backdrop to a Saturday night spent with friends and a few drinks.

SOHO features a wide variety of Italian dishes,  many of them are paleo compliant though, for example: Pumpkin & Beetroot Salad and the Warm Chicken Salad on the lunch menu or the paleo granola on the breakfast one.

What I love: the staff is especially friendly and explains the respective ingredients and way of cooking, if you are not sure. Furthermore, gluten-free choices are already indicated at the menus.

South Society Melbourne
Located on the prominent corner of the Pinewood shopping centre in Mt Waverley, South Society is a new standard for the South Eastern Suburbs as a cafe, bar and eatery delivering an abundance of fresh produce, coupled with an exceptional culinary team who offer creative, seasonal and innovative dishes.

Typical for Melbourne and its health conscious population, South Society caters to a variety of dietary needs with many grain- and gluten-free choices on the menue, for example the acai yoghurt bowl w/ banana, chia, strawberrys & poached blueberries or the  fried calamari w/ a blood orange, fennel, feta, roasted pepper & mix leaf salad

What I love: the location might seem far out, but Mt Waverley’s crowd seems to dig it and the beautiful rustic location is filled with health conscious and food loving people, coming in for brunch or an office lunch. All in all a beautiful vibe.

THR1VE is real food, real fast. A delicious menu of quality produce and proteins, locally and ethically sourced, always gluten free, and no added sugar. High performance nutrition so you look, feel, and perform at your best.

What I love: fast food just came back on the menu, but 100% paleo and real food conform. Almost all dishes are easily  customizable and offer a wide variety of breakfast foods, like beast stack breakfast bowl or paleo pancakes. Thr1ve is not only for the mornings though, try the gluten-free buns of glory, e.g. the Bbq style Smokey Joe.

Von Walden

Conveniently located in Vienna’s city center, Von Walden describes its philosophy as authetic and dedicated to provide real food without added sugar and artificial ingriedients, in my mind the perfect base for paleo. As far as possible most ingredients are from the greater Vienna region – coconut product excepted, as Austria does not really feature a lot of coco palms.

The shop offers a variety of healthy and clean food products like grain-free mueslis, jam and oils as well as a fine selection of cook books.

What I love: Van Walden is not only a paleo shop, but a little bistro offering a meal take-away service to make sure your lunches stay clean and paleo. I am especially drawn to the paleo curry options and the paleo cakes.

Element Fresh

With locations in all major cities in China, Element Fresh offers a truely refreshing twist to what China offered to me on most menues – especially as many dishes do include rice or wheat products – especially when going for traditional eats. The concept claims itself to be  passionate about bringing you the freshest food in China.
What I love: Element Fresh at least has a good selected of fresh salads on their menu, which can be customized if the friendly staff is asked to, especially the COBB salad (without the cheese) with Australian steak is recommendable, delicious and paleo conform if you stick to basic olive oil dressing.
